Position Overview & Reporting Structure

The Family Engagement Coordinator leads EBIA’s family-facing enrollment and recruitment efforts. This role focuses on increasing enrollment by building relationships with prospective families, coordinating outreach and recruitment activities, supporting families throughout the enrollment process, and strengthening family engagement and retention. The Family Engagement Coordinator reports directly to the Principal and works closely with the Office Manager and school leadership team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead prospective-family outreach, recruitment, and follow-up to support annual enrollment goals.

  • Coordinate school tours, information sessions, open houses, and prospective-family events.

  • Represent EBIA at enrollment fairs, community events, feeder schools, and neighborhood outreach opportunities.

  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective families from initial inquiry through enrollment.

  • Support families in navigating the application and enrollment process while coordinating closely with the Office Manager.

  • Develop relationships with elementary schools, community organizations, family networks, and other referral partners.

  • Recruit and coordinate current family and student ambassadors to support enrollment efforts.

  • Track prospective-family leads, event participation, application progress, and enrollment conversion.

  • Identify enrollment trends and recommend outreach strategies based on data.

  • Support re-enrollment and student retention efforts through proactive family outreach.

  • Coordinate family-facing communications, including ParentSquare announcements, enrollment messaging, and event reminders.

  • Support key family events, including New Family Orientation, Back to School Night, Student-Led Conferences, and community-building events.

  • Gather family feedback and elevate recurring questions, concerns, and barriers to school leadership.

  • Maintain a welcoming, professional, and responsive experience for prospective and current families.

  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Principal.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in enrollment, admissions, family engagement, outreach, community organizing, education, nonprofit work, sales, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and follow up consistently with prospective families.

  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and customer-service skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple leads, events, deadlines, and outreach efforts simultaneously.

  • Experience working with culturally, linguistically, and socio-economically diverse communities strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

  • Comfort using digital communication, tracking, and productivity platforms, including Google Workspace and ParentSquare.

  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work evening or weekend enrollment and family events.

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, family partnership, and the success of all EBIA students.
